I have to admit I do prefer girl’s partywear at Christmas to boys partywear but I’ve found multiple party pieces for both genders. Christmas to me is the perfect time for dresses, sparkle and smart suits.
Starting with two dresses I’ve brought Emily for the festive season are these two incredible prom style dresses
The peter pan collar, the added sparkle on the skirt and the rich colour of the Damson dress and the delicate pink of the other elegantly portrays festivities and party season.
Both dresses are available in sizes 3 months to 6 years.
Next up we have got a very seasonally apt piece from Marks and Spencer’s
This festive red velvet dress is hemmed with a thick band of spangly red sequins. This is another dress Emily has for over the Christmas period.
This dress is available from age 1 to age 10. The dress is also available in navy and cerise pink.
Sticking with Marks and Spencer’s we have a slightly more understated piece.
I think the black collar contrasts well against the red dress, the studs bring in a little Christmas themed embellishment and the whole shape of the dress is beautifully understated.
This dress ranges from age 3 years to 14 years so unfortunately is too big for Emily but it would definitely be in her wardrobe if they stocked her size.
Now on to boys, going straight for a 4 piece suit from Marks and Spencer’s
Unlike a lot of Christmas dresses a suit set like this wouldn’t look out of place the next year for Spring/Summer.
For something a little less formal this smart-casual set again from Marks and Spencer’s is ideal. The price for all 3 items is also very reasonable and it isn’t festive themed so you would get wear out of it until it no longer fit.
For something for a younger boy you could opt for the shorts dunagree and shirt set teamed with a pair of tights and some smart shoes or booties depending on his age.
That is the end of my children’s partywear edit, I hope you enjoyed…if you did please remember to like and subscribe. Merry Christmas x
