Every year I attempt to make a gingerbread house…and fail. It wouldn’t be so embarassing if it wasn’t a kit that was aimed at kids.
Despite not being very good at it I love buying the gingerbread house kits from the supermarket, constructing it (or not in my case) and then decorating it.
Over Christmas I think activities like crafts, baking and decorating bring the whole family together and makes for an afternoon full of fun.
The kit from Morrison’s is available from early November and it comes with everything you need to assemble and decorate your own gingerbread house for just £4.00.
As I’m writing this post we haven’t yet decorated ours for this year but we did the exact same thing last year and this was the result.
Not quite up to scratch compared to the Morrison’s one but I think we did a pretty good job. (Although it was mainly Sam’s work.)
If you have children that might want to do this independently this kit is also affordable enough to buy multiple kits and have a little healthy competition as to who can decorate the best ginerbread house.
Do you have any traditions that you do on the lead up to Christmas?
I hope you enjoyed this post, if you did please remember to like and subscribe.
