The Christmas Tag

I love Q&A posts, firstly because I’m nosey and love to know more about people and secondly because they are pretty easy as far as blog content goes. So when Life As Mrs D tagged me in her post to complete it, I jumped at the chance. Without further ado lets begin.

What’s your favourite Christmas movie? This is very tricky as it entirely depends on my mood so I’m going to cheat and have two. One being Annabelle’s Wish as it is a very nostalgic film for me. Secondly – Miracle on 34th Street, I’ve always loved this film but going to see it in play at a local theatre with my Mum is a memory I cherish and it has made the film so much more special.

Have you ever had a white-Christmas?

Erm, not that I can remember.

Where do you normally spend your holiday? For the first 20 Christmasses of my life I’ve always had Christmas at my parents house, this year I am hosting Christmas so it will be a huge change for everyone.

What’s your favourite Christmas song? Definitely the Wizzard song ‘Well I wish it could be Christmas everydayyyy, when the kids start singing and the band begins to playyy’

Do you open any Christmas presents on Christmas Eve? This has happened a couple of times since my brother and I have been older, my Mum tends to pick us one and we open it but open the majority on Christmas Day.

Can you name all Santa’s reindeer? Donna, Dasher, Dancer and Prancer, Comet and Cupid, Blitzen, Vixen and Rudolph. I think that’s them all?

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year? This year is quite a ‘limbo’ year where things are changing in preparation for Emily being at home on Christmas Day with all her presents but she actually doesn’t understand a lot. One of the main things is starting the tradition of a proper Christmas Eve box for Emily.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake? Fake, very cheap and hasn’t actually been put up this year.

What’s your favourite holiday treat/food/sweet? This won’t be an entirely Christmassy food for everyone but every year only at Christmas we have pavlova.

Be honest – Do you prefer giving or receiveing gifts? 100%, hands down giving. I love the feeling when you think you have found the perfect present for someone, wrapping it up with posh paper, ribbons and bows then (hopefully) seeing that they absolutely love it when they open it.

What is the best Christmas present you have ever recieved? This is too hard as each year there was one perfect present that was the best for me at that time. When I was younger I got a remote control Bratz car with all the dolls and that made me feel soo cool, then I got my first flip-phone for Christmas. Getting a Nintendo DS and playing nintendogs for hours is also up there. Then as I’ve been older it’s been more perfume, handbags, coats, shoes and makeup which I love too.

Dream place to visit for the holiday season? When Emily is older I would love to go to Lapland.

Are you a pro-present wrapper or do you fail miserably? I think I’m quite good. If the item is a funny shape then I sometimes struggle but I like to take pride in my wrapping.

Most memorable Christmas memory? This is so tricky as they all seem to blur into one. Although it probably isn’t the best, Christmas of 2015 (pre-parenthood) by the time we had eaten Christmas dinner I had drunk 3 bottles of wine to myself, went to bed for a three hour nap and when I woke up I ate an entire pavlova (told you it was my favourite.)

What made you realise the truth about Santa? What? Santa is real.

What makes the Holiday’s special for you? The excitement, the music, seeing family and friends, nice food and drink. Christmas is one of my favourite times EVER. So I’m a bit stuck with who to pass this along to – I nominate Charlotte at LiveWithLottie. I hope you have enjoyed Blogmas so far, I know I have but I am looking forward to a less intense upload frequency.
